Balballoona

Drie dansers ontmoeten elkaar op het podium. Eerst is er verlegenheid en afstand, totdat de kleurrijke ballonnen verschijnen en alles in beweging komt.

Wat volgt is een speelse, poëtische reis over verschil en verbinding. Ze zweven, botsen, verliezen en vinden elkaar weer – zoals onze gevoelens ook kunnen bewegen.

Elke ballon draagt een emotie: geel staat voor vreugde, rood voor liefde én conflict, blauw voor verdriet en groen voor rust. De kleuren helpen het publiek emoties te herkennen, zonder woorden – via beweging, muziek en beeld.

BALBALLOONA ontstond uit een intensief onderzoek met peuters, waar spel veranderde in dans. Een zachte, kleurrijke ervaring vol humor, zorg en verwondering – waarin het publiek op het einde zelf mag meebewegen.

Three dancers meet on the stage. At first, with shyness and at a distance – until the colourful balloons appear and everything starts to move.

What follows is a playful, poetic journey all about convergence and connection. They float, collide, lose and find one another again – just like our feelings sometimes do.

Each balloon has an emotional charge: yellow stands for joy, red for love and conflict, blue for sorrow, and green for peace. The colours help the audience recognise emotions, without words – through movement, music and images.

BALBALLOONA is the result of intensive research among toddlers, transforming play into dance. A soft, colourful experience full of humour, caring and wonder – at the end, the audience can join in the movement.
