Over de voorstelling
Het begint allemaal met één velletje wit papier en daarna zelfs veel meer!
Papier is meer dan alleen ‘materiaal’: het nodigt je uit om te bouwen, vormen te maken en avontuurlijk te spelen. Landschap verandert in een vis, een zee, een maan, een draak...
Onder de sneeuw is een speelse visuele voorstelling op het kruispunt van beweging, muziek en objecten. Tijdens deze reis naar het hart van de verbeelding, nemen we plaats rond en dicht bij het papieren speelvlak. De eerste verwondering. De eerste emoties. Alsof je ogen voor het eerst kijken naar de wereld om je heen. En jawel, na afloop duiken we met z’n allen in de luchtige papierberg!
De voorstelling werd goed ontvangen tijdens het Edinburgh International Imaginate Childrens festival in 2025.

It all starts with a single sheet of white paper – then lots more! Paper is more than just a ‘material’: it’s an invitation to build, create shapes and set off on playful adventures. Landscape transforms into a fish, a sea, a moon, a dragon... Beneath the Snow is a playful visual production at the intersection of movement, music and objects. During this journey to the heart of the imagination, we gather around and close to the paper play area. The initial wonder. The first emotions. As if your eyes are looking out at the world around you for the very first time. And yes, at the end we all dive into the airy paper mountain!
This production was well received at the Edinburgh International Imaginate Children’s Festival in 2025.
Over de makers
Compagnie des Bestioles werd in 1999 opgericht door Martine Waniowski. In 2015 richtten ze zich tot het jonge publiek door middel van producties, onderzoek en maatschappelijke betrokkenheid. Hun stijl kenmerkt zich door een niet-narratieve theatertaal, gebaseerd op het samenspel van materialen, licht en muziek.

Compagnie des Bestioles was formed in 1999 by Martine Waniowski. In 2015, she started focusing on younger audiences through productions, research and social commitment. The company’s style is characterised by non-narrative theatrical language, based on the interplay of materials, light and music.
